The Eberjey Orianna bralette was reviewed in Singapore as a lace piece that feels almost like nothing on the skin. It is a soft pastel pink and mint green bralette, and the reviewer said it fitted “like a dream” when worn.
The review was written when Eberjey’s pieces were sold in Singapore through the retailer Perk. It began with a familiar complaint: most bras on the market feel stiff, scratchy or simply uncomfortable. The reviewer wanted something whisper-soft that disappears under clothes.
Why the Orianna stood out
The reviewer admired every bralette from the brand but singled out the Orianna. Three things drew the eye: the feminine pastel palette, the very thin pink straps, which she called decidedly non-granny, and a texture described as cottony-soft.
The detail she valued most was practical. Lace bralettes can be unforgiving, but the Orianna has a thin cotton layer under the lace. That layer meant she did not have to worry about nip slips, something she noted not many bralettes offer.
The bralette also felt almost negligible when worn, which was exactly what she had been looking for.
A note for fuller busts
The Orianna has no underwire. The review pointed out that anyone with a fuller bust might prefer a more structured option, and it recommended Eberjey’s Anouk underwire bra as a comparably comfortable choice.
The Anouk is still a recognisable Eberjey design. US retailer Shopbop describes its underwire version as a blend of delicate lace and sheer mesh. It has adjustable straps and a hook-and-eye closure, and the retailer calls it pretty enough for special occasions and comfortable enough for everyday wear.
Customer reviews on Zappos for the Anouk underwire bra are mixed on support. Some wearers called the lace comfortable and not scratchy. One said the dainty, thin straps made it a poor choice for support.
The Anouk bralette, a wire-free sibling, is described by Zappos as sheer swiss dot mesh with floral lace. It has scalloped cup edges, an oversized contrast bow and a small triangle inset at the base of the cups for modesty. Zappos says it suits smaller chests.
The brand and where it was sold
Eberjey describes itself as a maker of pretty, comfortable intimates, and the brand name means “joy” in a Nigerian dialect. Shopbop says it was founded by Ali Mejia and Mariela Rovito, on the belief that what is worn close to the heart should express happiness, love and confidence. The brand’s range also includes swimwear, lingerie and its Gisele pyjamas.
At the time of the review, Perk carried a wide range of Eberjey in Singapore, including boy thongs, pyjama sets and panties. Prices then started at S$21 for a boy thong and went up to S$78 for a silk pyjama set. The retailer said new products arrived in store every two weeks.
Those prices and the stocking arrangement belong to that period. Current Singapore availability of the Orianna and of the Perk range could not be confirmed, so anyone hoping to buy one should check with the retailer or the brand directly.
