In early September 2017, Hong Kong entertainment outlets reported that Aaron Kwok and his wife, the model Moka Fang, had welcomed a baby girl, their first child. It came only months after the couple married in Hong Kong.
Commercial Radio Hong Kong, quoting an unnamed source, said the baby was born on a Friday at the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital. Kwok’s manager declined to confirm the report and said she would not comment on his personal affairs. The birth was reported in Hong Kong on the first Tuesday of the month.
A quiet courtship and a private wedding
The arrival followed a relationship the couple kept largely out of the spotlight. Kwok, then 51, and Fang married in Hong Kong in April 2017, after dating for less than two years. He had first acknowledged the relationship in 2015.
The wedding itself was a modest affair for a star of Kwok’s standing. At the time it was reported as a private banquet of 10 tables, and guests were asked not to take photos or videos. That fits the low-profile approach the pair took to their marriage.
The weeks before the birth
Signs of the baby’s arrival had been building for weeks. Rumours spread after Fang’s mother was spotted in Hong Kong the previous month, apparently to look after her daughter during confinement. It was also reported that Kwok had arranged for his mother-in-law to stay in the city for the final month of the pregnancy.
Fang had been seen with a visible baby bump in the months before. Neither she nor Kwok said much publicly about the pregnancy.
Apple Daily reported that a car with a Hong Kong-China licence plate left the hospital for the couple’s apartment that Saturday.
How the family has grown
The couple’s first anniversary party for their daughter was a public occasion. They celebrated her first birthday with a fairytale-themed party at Disneyland Hong Kong on 2 September 2018.
A second daughter followed. On 18 April 2019, Kwok posted a photo of four intertwined hands on social media. He wrote that the family would now be a family of four. In April 2025, Kwok shared photos from the couple’s eighth wedding anniversary, including one with their two girls.
In October 2025 the family grew again. Kwok announced on social media on 22 October that they had welcomed their third daughter. Sharing a picture of the newborn, he wrote that their “little princess” was finally home, and that mother and daughter were safe and sound.
Kwok also said he would take a one-month break from work to spend time with his wife and newborn. He turned 60 on 26 October 2025, and Fang made her first public appearance since the birth. She shared a Superman-themed cake showing the family of five as Superman, Superwoman and Supergirl.
The couple, who married in 2017, now have three daughters. Nine years on from that first birth announcement, Kwok has described himself as a hands-on father. At the age of 60, he said he had thoroughly enjoyed caring for his newborn.
